Let’s face it, us North Shore residents know first-hand just how moody Mother Nature can be. And her ever-changing weather patterns don’t exactly make it easy on us gardeners. Lucky for you, I’ve learned (through trowel + error) which methods work best for growing a lush garden at any time of year.
I’ll build you a garden that achieves four-season success with little planning on your part, plus equip you with easy strategies to tackle each interval as they come and go.
2. Window boxes + containers
Don’t just grow it. Show it!
I’m a big fan of window boxes + containers. They’re the perfect way to display flowers for all the world to see. But when is prime-time to showcase their beauty? In my opinion we have three (3) key opportunities to focus our energy → early June, end of September, and the month of December.
I’ll create custom displays that frame everything from big-blooming geraniums and mums mixed with kale to beautiful balsam-berry combos that carry us through winter.
3. Annual vs. perennial
It’s all about the birds + the bees.
For me, the best and brightest gardens come from getting back to the basics. Going back to the roots of what makes a garden prosper. And what better way to cultivate your green thumb than by learning which annuals or perennials are best?
